Spruce Grove Kinettes & Kinsmen Hamper Collection

Once again as the holiday season approaches, the Spruce Grove Kinsmen & Kinettes are working towards the 44th Annual Christmas Hamper campaign. In the spirit of giving and in hopes of making this season a little brighter for those in need, our classrooms are filling hampers for local families. Your generous contributions to the Kinettes program helps ensure quality hampers are distributed in our community.

Last year, the Spruce Grove Kinettes were able to assist 575 families! At present, Parkland Food Bank use is up around 15% from last year; as a result, they are expecting a huge increase to the hamper program as well (could be closer to 650 families to help this year).

The goal is for hampers to contain a variety of non-perishable food items to assist a family during the Christmas season. The Kinettes have provided a list of suggested items, as the emphasis of the hampers will be food. Grocery store gift cards are also ideal and will go towards perishables for families.

To ensure a diverse selection of age-appropriate gifts, the Kinettes are asking us to collect new, unwrapped gifts that are based on your child’s gender and age – think, something that your own child would like!

Please refer to www.sgkinettes.ca for additional information, food lists and gift ideas.

Items will be accepted until Friday, December 8, 2017, with the donations being delivered by our “Prescott Elves” on December 11, 2017.

Thank you in advance for all of your support with this local Christmas Hamper campaign. It truly makes a difference to these families over the holidays!
