Prescott Learning Centre
(K–9)

For Newcomers

Prescott Learning Centre is located in the Prescott neighbourhood of Spruce Grove, along Pioneer Road. We serve students in Grades K-9 who live in the Prescott, Greenbury, Tonewood, Spruce Village and Kenton neighbourhoods in the City of Spruce Grove, as well those living in the rural areas immediately to the east of the city.

Graduates from Parkland Village School continue their learning at Prescott starting in Grade 5, and our graduates typically attend Spruce Grove Composite High School once they reach Grade 10.

Will you be attending school at Prescott Learning Centre? Check our School Locator Map to find out if you live in the Prescott attendance area.

Please note: Parkland School Division serves only families who reside in the County of Parkland, the town of Stony Plain and the City of Spruce Grove. We currently have some out-of-jurisdiction students who are permitted to complete the program at their current school. No further out-of-jurisdiction students are being registered in PSD. If your family is not a resident of Parkland School Division, your resident school board is responsible for meeting your educational needs.

Parking & Transportation

Visitor parking is located in front of the school, with overflow parking available on the street. Pickup and drop-off zones are clearly marked; please use these zones whenever you pick up or drop off your children. A bus loading zone separates the visitor parking lot from the main entrance of the school; please do not park in this area.

The parking lot for the Beaverbrook Wellness Centre next door to our school is reserved for users of that facility. The parking lot behind our school is reserved for staff use; please do not pick up or drop off students in this area.

Checking In & Out of School

The main entrance is located on the west side of the school, facing Pioneer Road. The school office is to the right of the main entrance doors. All visitors must sign in at the office and obtain a visitor ID tag before going to any area of the school.

If you are picking up your children during school hours, please visit the office to sign them out. They will be called down to meet you.

Keeping Up With Prescott Learning Centre

You can stay up to date with school events and important information by regularly checking our website and Twitter feed. Many of our teachers also connect with parents via Twitter, Remind, SeeSaw and/or Google Classroom.

Prescott Learning Centre regularly keeps parents and guardians informed of their children's progress via PowerSchool, report cards and Parent-Teacher Interviews. You can get in touch with your child's teacher(s) directly via email by visiting our Staff Directory page.

Parents and guardians can get involved at our school by taking part in our School Council and Fundraising Foundation, and/or volunteering in their child's classroom. Teachers will provide parents with more information about the volunteer opportunities available at the start of the school year.
